China, 19th C., very fine and rare pot-pourris Samson celadon porcelain covered vase decorated in relief with lotus floral patterns; gilded dore bronze mounted with coral and shells motif with winging handles, Louis XV style. Height: 11 1/4 in., Width: 12 1/4 in.
Pair of almost identical vases were sold at Sotheby’s Paris, “Collection Leon Levy, Important Furniture and Works of Art,” October 2, 2008, lot 26.
